START Program Expands

With the ongoing success of the START (School Tardiness and Attendance Review Team) Program, thanks to the continued support of the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, the Middlesex Juvenile Court Department of Probation, and the MA Department of Social Services, as well as the tireless efforts of our participating middle schools and police departments, Middlesex Partnerships for Youth, Inc. is proud to announce that the START program will begin in 5 new schools in the Fall. These schools are: Watertown Middle School, John Glenn Middle School in Bedford, Andrews Middle School in Medford, Hawthorne Brook Middle School in Townsend, and Nissitissit Middle School in Pepperell. In addition, the program will begin its fourth year at the Marshall Middle School in Billerica, and its second year in Littleton Middle School, Wilmington Middle School, and the City Magnet School in Lowell. Plans are also underway to implement the program city-wide in Malden’s middle school population.
